Com este artigo pretendemos dar ênfase a novas áreas de intervenção dos Terapeutas da Fala, que estão muito para além das tradicionalmente atribuídas a estes profissionais, decorrentes de diversas intervenções cirúrgicas em indivíduos portadores de tumores naso-sinusais e oro-faringo-laríngeos, procurando ao mesmo tempo demonstrar que esta poderá ser mais uma área a explorar por estes profissionais, ao mesmo tempo que se deverá orientar e dirigir o estudo destes na fase formativa. With this article we aim to emphasize the Speech Therapists’ new intervention areas, which are far beyond the ones traditionally attributed to these professionals, deriving not only from various surgical interventions on individuals with naso-sinusal and oro-pharyngo-laryngeal tumours, seeking simultaneously to demonstrate that this may be another area to explore by these professionals, at the same time that we should orient and direct their studies during the training phase

As representações sociais da aprendizagem da Matemática na educação básica e sua influência no curso de administração

Este estudo parte do princípio de que a forma como são construídas as representações sociais sobre a aprendizagem da Matemática da educação básica influencia significativamente a formação do aluno em um curso de administração. Para a coleta e análise dos dados, utilizou-se o referencial teórico-metodológico da teoria das representações sociais e do núcleo central. Os dados, coletados a partir de um questionário, foram tratados pelo software EVOC e analisados com o auxílio da teoria de Bardin. Embora 57% dos participantes afirmem que o impacto da aprendizagem da matemática da educação básica tem sido positivo, o que pode evidenciar um bom desempenho no curso, os demais apontam o contrário, há representações que indicam ser a aprendizagem insatisfatória e incompleta. Caracterizam essa aprendizagem como boa ou difícil a partir das práticas pedagógicas utilizadas pelos professores-se julgaram as aulas satisfatórias, a representação da aprendizagem foi boa; se não, foi considerada difícil

O complexo de soja: aspectos descritivos e previsões

O presente trabalho estuda os três produtos que compõem o complexo de soja: grão, farelo e óleo. Tem como objetivo apresentar um panorama mundial do complexo soja incluindo projeções futuras. As projeções são geradas com a utilização da representação markoviana de séries temporais vetoriais auto regressivas de médias móveis estacionárias. A análise é levada a efeito para as séries de produção, consumo, exportação e preço de exportação da soja em grão e seus derivados (farelo e óleo). As séries foram observadas no período 1972-2008 e as previsões visam o período 2009-2018. Conclui-se dessa análise que o mercado brasileiro de soja em grão indica grandes perspectivas de crescimento e fortalecimento no mercado mundial. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe present work studies the three products composing the soybean complex: grain, meal and oil. Its objective is to present a world panorama of the soybean including future forecasts. The forecasts are generated using the Markovian representation of stationary vector auto regressive moving average time series. The analysis is carried out for production, consumption, exports and price of exports of soybean in grain and its derivatives (meal and oil). The series were observed for the period 1972-2008 and the forecasts aim at the period 2009-2018. It is concluded that the Brazilian market of soybean in grain shows a great perspective for growth and strengthening in the world market

Evaluation of Pronaf in the Income of Family Farmers in the Southeast region of Brazil

This article estimates the impact of the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf) on the agricultural income of rural producers in the Southeast region. A literature review was carried out, which concerns the productive promotion and the granting of credit in the agricultural sector. The propensity score matching model was used, a pairing method based on sample data from the supplement of the National Household Sample Survey, 2014. It was found that Pronaf had a positive impact on the income of family farmers who took credit in the Southeast region. The credit policy contributed to the increase in income and to the greater capitalization of production

Previsões para o Mercado de Carnes

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar projeções brasileiras de produção, consumo, exportação e preço médio de exportação para as carnes (bovina, suína e frango). As projeções foram geradas com a utilização da representação markoviana (espaço de estados) e do modelo autorregressivo integrado de médias móveis (Arima). Taxas anuais de crescimento também foram calculadas. As séries foram observadas no período 1972-2009, e a análise das previsões visa o período 2010-2020. As projeções dos produtos estão bem ajustadas às observações. De acordo com os resultados, o Brasil mostrou tendência de crescimento em todas as séries analisadas. A partir dessa análise, conclui-se que o mercado brasileiro de carnes indica boas perspectivas de crescimento e fortalecimento em termos mundiais, em especial para a carne de frango. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis work aimed to present Brazilian forecasts of production, consumption, exports and export average price of meat (beef, pork and poultry). Forecasts were generated using the Markovian representation (state space) model and an autoregressive integrated moving average (Arima). Annual growth rates were also calculated. Series observed involve the period from 1972 to 2009 and the analysis of the forecasts involves the period from 2010 to 2020. The forecasts of the products are well adjusted to the observations. According to the results, Brazil showed a growth trend in all the analyzed variables. It is concluded that the Brazilian meat market indicates good perspectives of strengthening in world terms, especially for poultry

Flexible Work Model Based on Autopoiesis Principles: A Case Study

This article presents definitions on flexible work and presents the case study of a company in which its model is based on the principles of autopoiesis, having as main characteristics flexibility and autonomy in the accomplishment of work. Firstly, through bibliographical research, it is possible to observe that the evolution of new work formats challenges the conventional model of fixed physical offices and defined schedules, which are models adopted in the organization of work in the industrial society. Autopoiesis is also presented, which, although it is still in a process of theoretical evolution and application in other areas, brings the original contributions of biology to justify the possibility of implanting models that consider the autonomy of individuals in self-management and self-production, allowing the work in a flexible and autonomous manner, consistent with the demands of a knowledge-based society. Lastly, the case study presents a model that uses the principles of autopoiesis to form an organization that has flexibility as the main characteristic in the accomplishment of work, based on individual autonomy. The contributions of this study point to the need for the labor market to accept new models and formats that intend to meet the demands of individuals regarding the organization of work

AVALIAÇÃO DE IMPACTOS SOBRE O CONHECIMENTO, CAPACITAÇÃO E POLÍTICO-INSTITUCIONAL DA PESQUISA GERADA PELA EMBRAPA

Este trabalho apresenta a experiência da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária - Embrapa na avaliação de impactos sobre o conhecimento, capacitação e político-institucional. O trabalho descreve a metodologia utilizada tomando como referência uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema e análisa documentos institucionais recentes e relatórios de avaliação disponibilizados pelas Unidades Descentralizadas da Embrapa. A metodologia utilizada para avaliação de impactos desta natureza é baseada na dimensão “capacitação” do método ESAC, criado pelo GEOPI/Unicamp. A Embrapa tem direcionado esforços no sentido de aprimorar a metodologia de avaliação de impactos sobre o conhecimento, capacitação e polítíco-institucional por considerar que os benefícios gerados pelas unidades de temas básicos da empresa, geram, principalmente benefícios intangíveis, que dificilmente podem ser medidos e demonstrados a partir das metodologias de avaliação tradicionais. Anualmente são avaliadas mais uma centena de tecnologias a partir da metodologia. Os resultados apontaram a eficiência do método para avaliar os impactos sobre o conhecimento, capacitação e político-institucional de tecnologias geradas também pelas unidades de pesquisa de produtos e agroflorestal ou agropecuária nas ecorregiões brasileiras. Um produto importante desta avaliação foi a incorporação da necessidade de avaliar os impactos da pesquisa da Embrapa em um enfoque multidimensional, já que a Empresa possui ainda uma longa experiência na avaliação de impactos econômicos, sociais e ambientais.---------------------------------------------This work presents the experience of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa in the evaluation of impacts on the knowledge, qualification and institutional-politician. The work describes the methodology used taking as reference a bibliographical revision on the subject and analyzes recent institutional documents and reports of evaluation disponibilizados by the Decentralized Units of the Embrapa. The methodology used for evaluation of impacts of this nature is based on the dimension “qualification” of method ESAC, created for the GEOPI/Unicamp. The Embrapa has directed efforts in the direction to improve the methodology of evaluation of impacts on the knowledge, qualification and politician-institucional for considering that the benefits generated for the units of basic investigation of the company, generates, mainly intangible benefits, that hardly can be measured and be demonstrated from the traditional methodologies of evaluation. Annually they are evaluated plus a hundred of technologies from the methodology. The results had pointed the efficiency of the method to evaluate the impacts on the knowledge, qualification and institutional-politician of technologies also generated for the units of research of products and agricultural in the Brazil. O efeito do ácido ascórbico tópico na cicatrização cutânea

Introdução: A ferida cirúrgica apresenta altos níveis de radicais livres em resposta ao dano cutâneo, o que gera a hipótese de um possível benefício do uso de antioxidantes no reparo destas feridas, tal como a aplicação tópica do ácido ascórbico. No entanto, pesquisas recentes obtiveram conclusões discrepantes para este tipo de tratamento. O objetivo é avaliar o efeito do ácido ascórbico tópico na cicatrização cutânea por meio de uma revisão de escopo. Métodos: A revisão de escopo foi realizada na base de dados Medline, Lilacs e Cochrane, com os descritores: ácido ascórbico, creme para a pele e cicatrização de feridas. Foram definidos como critérios de inclusão: ensaios clínicos randomizados, observacionais e revisões sistemáticas, em humanos, com data de publicação de até 5 anos, nas línguas inglesa, portuguesa ou espanhola. Foram excluídas: revisões narrativas, dissertações, teses, editoriais, estudos in vitro e em animais. Por fim, foi realizada a classificação dos estudos através da metodologia GRADE. Resultados: Foram encontrados 83 estudos e, após triagem, seis artigos foram selecionados. Destacou-se o uso do ácido ascórbico na concentração de 5 a 20% e de seus derivados (0,075% a 9,55%). Apresentaram a qualidade GRADE moderada os desfechos: aumento da firmeza cutânea e redução da vermelhidão, e alta qualidade: melhora na hidratação, elasticidade, colorometria das manchas e melhora do fechamento das feridas. Conclusão: O ácido ascórbico promove melhor elasticidade cutânea, diminuição do eritema e melhor fechamento das feridas. Apesar destes fortes indícios, ensaios clínicos randomizados com menor risco de viés de aferição e com maior casuística ainda se fazem necessários

Aerococcus spp infective endocarditis following a prostate biopsy: a case report

We report a rare case of an infective endocarditis by Aerococcus spp in a bioprosthetic aortic valve following a prostate biopsy, in an asymptomatic adult with no additional risk factor for prostate cancer, excepting for age. The diagnosis was based on the presence of vegetations on the bioprosthesis seen on the echocardiogram, positive blood cultures and fever, and a favorable clinical outcome following the treatment with ceftriaxone and gentamicin
